Anne Furey Schultz

Internal medicine · MD, FACP, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Westmont, IL · In person & virtual
  • Membership

Dr. Schultz co-founded this small concierge internal medicine practice in Westmont with Dr. Cindy Lagone. It is a primary care practice for adults, and menopause care sits within her general internal medicine work. Her main clinical interests are cholesterol, blood pressure and heart disease risk, and she also works in obesity medicine. An annual membership covers visits, virtual care and messaging with your doctor. Panels are kept small, so new patients start with a meet and greet and may join a waitlist when her panel is full. The practice says plainly that it is not integrative or functional medicine, and it keeps close ties to Northwestern Medicine for specialist referrals and hospital care.

Kiyomi Kimble

Women's health · MSN, CNM, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Chicago, IL · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield +2

Attune is a small practice run by two nurse-midwives who treat perimenopause and menopause, plus routine gynecology. Kiyomi moved from full-scope midwifery into menopause care and also sees women for pelvic and sexual health concerns. New patients get a one-hour first visit, with a follow-up about six to eight weeks after starting treatment and then check-ins every few months to once a year. They prescribe FDA-approved bioidentical estradiol and progesterone, low-dose testosterone for low libido, and non-hormonal options, and will use a compounding pharmacy if you prefer. They don't test hormone levels to adjust estrogen, and testosterone needs an in-person start with baseline labs. The Wicker Park office is inside a massage therapy suite up a flight of stairs with no elevator, and video visits are open to anyone in Illinois.

Dan Murauski

Integrative medicine · DO, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Chicago, IL · In person & virtual
  • Self-pay

Dr. Murauski directs the hormone and longevity programs at Case Integrative Health, a multi-provider integrative practice with offices in Chicago's West Loop and Hinsdale. He trained in biomedical engineering before medicine and describes his approach as looking at how the body's systems work together. Care starts with a discovery call with a patient coordinator, then an hour-long first consult and a follow-up four to six weeks later to go over labs and set the full plan. Seeing him directly means joining his Engineering Wellness membership, which has limited spots and a waitlist. Patients who don't join are seen by the program's physician assistants, who work under his oversight. Follow-up visits can be in person or remote.

Suzanne R. Trupin

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Champaign, IL · In person & virtual
  • Insurance or self-pay

Suzanne Trupin is the only physician at Women's Health Practice in Champaign, where she is the medical director and owner and works alongside one nurse practitioner plus a team of aesthetic and administrative staff. The practice homepage bills her as an OB/GYN specializing in gynecology, hormone balance and medical weight loss, and the practice says it has taken part in more than 100 clinical trials over 30 years. Hormone care runs mainly through BioTe compounded pellet therapy, offered alongside creams, patches and pills, and for vaginal dryness and painful sex the practice also prescribes topical vaginal estrogen, DHEA cream or testosterone. She offers two in-office energy treatments of the vagina, the MonaLisa Touch carbon dioxide laser and ThermiVa radiofrequency, and the practice says it was the first in Central Illinois to bring the laser to the area. The practice is unusually direct about its limits, telling readers plainly that it does not offer gynecologic surgery and will refer out, and that labiaplasty is a consultation ending in a referral to a plastic surgeon. Weight and bladder care are run as their own service lines, with prescription weight loss medication on one side and the Emsella chair and bladder medication on the other.

Ellen Haas

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Normal, IL · In person & virtual
  • Insurance or self-pay

Women for Women is a small obstetrics and gynecology practice in Normal, in a medical office building on the Carle BroMenn hospital campus, and Dr. Haas is one of the two physicians the practice is named for. She sees women across the whole span of gynecologic care, from a first exam and contraception through pregnancy and into menopause and the years after. What sets her apart inside the practice is surgery, since she holds a 2022 certification in minimally invasive gynecological surgery that the practice says marks clinicians who devote a significant share of their work to operating through small incisions. The gynecology list runs from hysterectomy, myomectomy and endometrial ablation through to robotic procedures, and menopause management sits among those services. She earned her menopause certification in 2025, the same year her partner at the practice did. She grew up in Bloomington and trained in Peoria, and the practice says she was glad to come back to her home community to practice.

  • Sterling, IL · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield +8

Dr. Tran is an internist who co-runs the CGH Menopause and Sexual Health Clinic with Dr. Marcia Jones, a family physician who is also Menopause Society certified. The clinic is on the upper level of CGH's downtown Sterling office and works by appointment, in person or by video. Sexual health is as much the point here as hot flashes. The reasons the clinic lists for coming in include painful sex, low libido and recurrent urinary tract infections. Tran also belongs to the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health. She and Jones have taken questions from the community in public Facebook Live sessions for the hospital, one on the stages of menopause and one on sex and intimacy in midlife.

Geneva A. Petersen

Family medicine · APN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Bloomington, IL · In person & virtual
  • Insurance or self-pay

Genny Petersen is one of four nurse practitioners at Heart of Illinois OB-GYN, a Bloomington obstetrics and gynecology practice that also has two physicians. She joined the office in 2007, is board certified as a family nurse practitioner, and is the only clinician on the team whose bio names menopause, saying she has an interest in the care of women in the menopausal stage of life. The practice lists menopause among its health and well-being services and says it is experienced in helping women through the transition, but it names no treatment it uses, so what she prescribes is not published. The minimally invasive surgery the group advertises is assigned by name to its two physicians, and the pregnancy prevention page says the doctors handle that, so neither is described as her work. Visits can be done in the office or by video with a doctor or a nurse practitioner, and new patients complete a pre-registration form before a first appointment. She goes by Genny on the practice site and is available for speaking engagements.

Elena M. Kamel

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Chicago, IL · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield +17

Dr. Kamel founded The Women's Group of Northwestern in 1989 as Chicago's first all-female obstetrics and gynecology practice, and she practices there now with fourteen other physicians and five nurse practitioners. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine, and the group describes itself as affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Prentice Women's Hospital. Her own listed interests are hysteroscopy, permanent contraception, osteoporosis, bone densitometry, gynecologic surgery and menopausal health, and she is the only physician in the group whose biography names osteoporosis or menopause expertise. The practice's menopause page says managing menopause is no longer solely about hormones, and describes reviewing symptoms, testing, lifestyle changes and both hormonal and non-hormonal options, with a long second half on finding and treating bone loss. Much of the group's gynecology is done in the office, including endometrial ablation, colposcopy, LEEP, biopsies, ultrasound and in-office hysteroscopy, and the office offers nitrous oxide gas for comfort during procedures. Patients choose their own physician and reach her through a shared appointment desk or an online request form, and the group works from a downtown office and a second one in Northbrook.

Suzanne Donick Siegel

Physician · MD, FACEP, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Lake Forest, IL · In person & virtual
  • Self-pay · first visit $500

Dr. Siegel is a board certified emergency physician who spent more than 30 years in busy emergency rooms and now runs a consultative menopause practice inside the Forward Focus Concierge Medicine office in Lake Forest. She writes that she saw what happens when women lose estrogen, including hip fractures, recurrent urinary infections, heart attacks and strokes, and she started this practice to prevent those rather than treat them. First visits run 60 to 90 minutes and patients fill out detailed questionnaires beforehand so the time together goes to history, symptoms and planning instead of paperwork. She prescribes hormone therapy and offers non hormonal options for women who cannot or do not want to take it, and once a plan settles a patient can usually get a full year of refills. She does not order broad hormone panels, since she says symptoms guide menopause care better than levels that swing week to week, and she sticks to screenings such as thyroid, lipid and metabolic panels, vitamin D and a baseline DEXA. She is not a replacement for a primary care doctor or gynecologist and offers to work alongside them, and visits can be in person or by video for patients located in Illinois or Wisconsin.

Mercedes Deal founded Rêver Wellness, a private-pay clinic in Coral Gables that blends hormone care with skin treatments and weight care. Hormone therapy there is only available through a paid membership, and the tiers that include it also cover follow-up visits and lab work. Care starts with baseline labs and a first visit of about two hours, then labs are repeated every three months while the plan is adjusted. She prescribes bioidentical estradiol, progesterone and testosterone for women in perimenopause and menopause. She is a family nurse practitioner with extra training in functional medicine and peptide therapy, and the clinic also runs a thyroid and adrenal workup. New patients start with an intake questionnaire and a member of the team replies within a day or two.

Online Benign Gyne is Dr. Todd's own telehealth practice, and every visit happens by video. She sees women for contraception, breast concerns, vaginal and vulva problems, menopause and facial skin care, and consultations and referrals are part of what she offers. Her site carries long plain-language explainers on hormone therapy, PCOS, urinary infections and breast exams. She is a New Orleans native and a military veteran who served during Operation Desert Storm and later at Walter Reed Medical Center. She says she especially enjoys caring for older women because she has faced the same changes herself. New patients can pick a video slot through the practice's own online scheduler.

Kudzai Dombo

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Burbank, CA · In person & virtual
  • Self-pay

Dr. Dombo is a board-certified OB-GYN who is going through the menopausal transition herself. She says starting hormone therapy and changing her nutrition and supplements took her from exhaustion and poor sleep back to enjoying life, and that is why she does this work. She trained in the early 2000s, when hormone therapy was widely feared, and now calls it the gold standard for symptom relief. The first visit runs 60 minutes and covers medical and gynecologic history, medications, nutrition and exercise, then a personal treatment plan. The visit also lists a nutritionist assessment, an exercise plan and mindset coaching, and follow-ups run 25 minutes. She writes publicly about why menopause hits Black women harder and how often they face barriers to care.

Emelia Winston

OB-GYN · DO, FACOG, MSCP

  • Boston, MA · In person & virtual
  • Insurance or self-pay

Winston is a board certified obstetrician gynaecologist at Boston Medical Center. She sees patients at two sites, the main Boston campus on Harrison Avenue and BMC Brighton. Her hospital listing places her in obstetrics and gynaecology along with labour, delivery and postpartum care, so her published work includes deliveries and not only office gynaecology. Boston Medical Center publishes nothing about menopause, perimenopause or hormone therapy for her, and her profile carries no specialties list at all, while a colleague at the same Harrison Avenue office does list menopause. Her menopause certification from The Menopause Society is current, but her employer's site gives no sign that she offers menopause care. She trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at Marshall University in West Virginia after earning her osteopathic degree in Tennessee.
