Menopause Society Certified Practitioners in Massachusetts
179 practitioners have an office in Massachusetts, and 66 more can see patients here by telehealth. 166 of them are certified by the Menopause Society, and the most are in Boston, Chestnut Hill and Worcester.
Dr. Matta runs a small office based gynecology practice on Beacon Street in Brookline, and her site says she partners with Dr. Nicole Boudreau. Her own description of her work is brief and promises compassionate and comprehensive office based gynecological care, with time taken to understand what each patient needs. The booking profile her site links is the only place that names services, and it lists birth control, consultations for menopause, evaluations for osteoporosis, and annual gynecologic examinations, along with care for urinary tract infection and sexual dysfunction. She does not publish what she prescribes for menopause. She is a board certified obstetrician gynecologist who trained at Loyola, completed a fellowship at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and teaches physician assistants as an instructor at Boston University. The office keeps short hours, afternoons on Mondays and Tuesdays and mornings on Thursdays and Fridays, with metered street parking around the building, and she speaks Spanish and Cantonese as well as English.
Winston is a board certified obstetrician gynaecologist at Boston Medical Center. She sees patients at two sites, the main Boston campus on Harrison Avenue and BMC Brighton. Her hospital listing places her in obstetrics and gynaecology along with labour, delivery and postpartum care, so her published work includes deliveries and not only office gynaecology. Boston Medical Center publishes nothing about menopause, perimenopause or hormone therapy for her, and her profile carries no specialties list at all, while a colleague at the same Harrison Avenue office does list menopause. Her menopause certification from The Menopause Society is current, but her employer's site gives no sign that she offers menopause care. She trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at Marshall University in West Virginia after earning her osteopathic degree in Tennessee.
Dr. Pope is Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southcoast Health and one of the gynecologists on its Menopause and Wellness Program team. The program calls itself the first in its region built around midlife and menopause care. It puts gynecology alongside heart care, weight loss, bone health, endocrinology, psychiatry, sex therapy and pelvic floor physical therapy, so patients can be referred within one team. He sees patients at the program's Wareham office and at the Southcoast OB/GYN office in New Bedford. He also teaches obstetrics and gynecology at Brown and lists menopause among his clinical interests. Visits go through Southcoast Health's usual insurance billing and MyChart patient portal.
