Alexis Phillips

Family medicine · NP, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Okemos, MI · In person only
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield +18

Alexis Phillips is a family nurse practitioner at Okemos OB/GYN, one of twelve obstetrics and gynecology offices run by University of Michigan Health-Sparrow. She is the only nurse practitioner on the Okemos team, and the other providers listed there are physicians who also work at the system's other OB/GYN offices. Care is in person at the single Okemos office, which is open weekdays. New patients start by downloading the office's own paperwork packet and calling to be scheduled, because the site has no online booking. Visits are billed to insurance, and the system publishes the plans it takes rather than what a visit costs. Her page says she became a nurse practitioner because the human body fascinates her, and she mentions yoga, crocheting and her French bulldog Winston.

Lisa H. Morris

OB-GYN · MD, FACOG, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Ann Arbor, MI · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield

Dr. Morris has practiced gynecology in Ann Arbor for more than thirty years and has spent over two decades working only on perimenopause and menopause. She says she has been going to menopause society meetings since the 1990s, and she has been certified since 2006. Visits cover hormone therapy and non-hormonal treatment, with follow-ups for hormone management and medication adjustments. She also handles routine midlife gynecologic care, including annual exams, Pap tests and bone health screening support. Her own explainer on genitourinary syndrome of menopause walks through vaginal estrogen options and says laser treatment is controversial and not a first-line therapy. The office runs weekday mornings only, she sees patients in Ann Arbor and by video, and the practice is affiliated with Trinity Health Michigan.

Elizabeth Moore

Family medicine · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Frankfort, MI · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield +5

Dr. Moore is a family physician at Munson Healthcare's Frankfort Medical Group, the system's family medicine office in Frankfort, on the same Park Avenue site as Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. She sees patients of every age from newborns to older adults, and menopause care is one of the two interests her Munson profile names. Before medicine she worked in Anchorage, Alaska as a geophysicist reading seismic data, then moved back to Michigan for medical school. She finished family medicine residency in 2025, so she is early in practice. Care runs through a hospital system that bills insurance, so this is ordinary family-medicine office care rather than a separate menopause program. New patients book by calling the office, and once you are established you can book in person or video visits online.

Abby Brown

OB-GYN · CNM/FNP, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Brighton, MI · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield +32

Abby Brown is a nurse practitioner in the obstetrics and gynaecology clinics at University of Michigan Health, and she sees patients at the Brighton health centre as well as two Ann Arbor sites. She trained in both nurse midwifery and family practice, and she cares for women across the span of adult life, from contraception and low risk obstetrics through menopause. She is also one of the nurse practitioners in the health system's vulvar diseases clinic, which treats skin conditions of the vulva such as lichen sclerosus along with precancerous changes. A new patient there gets a long first appointment covering nursing education, a clinical exam and a sexual health visit, and a return visit is often with a different member of the team on purpose. Referrals to that clinic are heavy enough that it no longer takes routine vulvodynia cases and sends them to a separate clinic in the system. Visits can be in person or by video, and a video visit means being physically in Michigan on the day.

Suzanne R. Trupin

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Champaign, IL · In person & virtual
  • Insurance or self-pay

Suzanne Trupin is the only physician at Women's Health Practice in Champaign, where she is the medical director and owner and works alongside one nurse practitioner plus a team of aesthetic and administrative staff. The practice homepage bills her as an OB/GYN specializing in gynecology, hormone balance and medical weight loss, and the practice says it has taken part in more than 100 clinical trials over 30 years. Hormone care runs mainly through BioTe compounded pellet therapy, offered alongside creams, patches and pills, and for vaginal dryness and painful sex the practice also prescribes topical vaginal estrogen, DHEA cream or testosterone. She offers two in-office energy treatments of the vagina, the MonaLisa Touch carbon dioxide laser and ThermiVa radiofrequency, and the practice says it was the first in Central Illinois to bring the laser to the area. The practice is unusually direct about its limits, telling readers plainly that it does not offer gynecologic surgery and will refer out, and that labiaplasty is a consultation ending in a referral to a plastic surgeon. Weight and bladder care are run as their own service lines, with prescription weight loss medication on one side and the Emsella chair and bladder medication on the other.

Kudzai Dombo

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Burbank, CA · In person & virtual
  • Self-pay

Dr. Dombo is a board-certified OB-GYN who is going through the menopausal transition herself. She says starting hormone therapy and changing her nutrition and supplements took her from exhaustion and poor sleep back to enjoying life, and that is why she does this work. She trained in the early 2000s, when hormone therapy was widely feared, and now calls it the gold standard for symptom relief. The first visit runs 60 minutes and covers medical and gynecologic history, medications, nutrition and exercise, then a personal treatment plan. The visit also lists a nutritionist assessment, an exercise plan and mindset coaching, and follow-ups run 25 minutes. She writes publicly about why menopause hits Black women harder and how often they face barriers to care.

Cathleen M. Brown

OB-GYN · DO, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Philadelphia, PA · Online only
  • Membership

Winona is a virtual menopause practice that works entirely through secure messaging, with no video or phone appointments at all. Hormone therapy comes as body creams, vaginal creams, pills and patches, and most of it is compounded in two pharmacies Winona owns. The company says plainly that it does not prescribe testosterone and does not prescribe hormone pellets. Treatment is limited to women aged 35 to 59, so a woman older than that cannot be prescribed hormone therapy here. Brown is Winona's medical director and medical reviewer rather than one of its prescribing physicians, and she hosts the company podcast and monthly patient webinars. New patients join a queue and are matched with a doctor licensed in their state, so signing up does not let a patient choose her by name.

Anastasia Kasianchuk

Registered dietitian · MS, RDN, CSSD, CSCS, EP-C

Accepting new patients
  • Kirkland, WA · Online only
  • Takes Aetna, Anthem +6 · first visit $199

Kasianchuk is a registered dietitian at Gennev, a virtual menopause clinic, so her work is nutrition and lifestyle counseling rather than prescribing. Gennev's doctors handle medication and hormone therapy, and she works alongside them with shared notes in the patient record. Her own page names weight management, bone health and cardiovascular health as her areas, along with sports nutrition and exercise physiology. A first visit with her runs 50 to 55 minutes and follow-ups run 30 to 40 minutes, usually every two or three weeks for at least three months, with text support in between. She also runs Gennev's lifestyle care program as its senior director of lifestyle care. Gennev's weight management track starts with the dietitian rather than the doctor and you can self-refer into it, while nutrition care in the general menopause track comes as a referral from your first doctor visit.

Breanna Pond

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

  • Marquette, MI · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield +6

OBGYN Associates of Marquette is a seven provider group that takes care of women across Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Dr. Pond grew up in Marquette, trained at Michigan State and completed a residency in Ann Arbor, then joined the practice in 2006. The group covers general gynecology alongside obstetrics, and the gynecology page names menopause and hormone therapy, including hormone replacement therapy, among the services provided. The board certified physicians hold surgical privileges at the hospital in Marquette, so office care and surgery stay with the same team. The office publishes two menopause questionnaires that patients can print and bring to a visit. Appointments are booked by phone and the patient portal is meant for people already in the practice.

Vickie Mello

OB-GYN · DO, MSCP

  • Bellflower, CA · In person & virtual
  • Insurance or self-pay

TCC Family Health is a community health center group with thirteen sites around Long Beach and the surrounding area, and it has been running since 1939. The name is misleading. It started with children but now sees patients of every age, and its services include OB/GYN care, family planning and menopause care alongside adult and senior medicine. The Bellflower health center is one of its sites. Care is open to anyone and the group says no one is turned away because they cannot pay, with a sliding fee discount for the uninsured. New patients start by calling the appointment line or walking into any location, and video and phone visits are available.

Emelia Winston

OB-GYN · DO, FACOG, MSCP

  • Boston, MA · In person & virtual
  • Insurance or self-pay

Winston is a board certified obstetrician gynaecologist at Boston Medical Center. She sees patients at two sites, the main Boston campus on Harrison Avenue and BMC Brighton. Her hospital listing places her in obstetrics and gynaecology along with labour, delivery and postpartum care, so her published work includes deliveries and not only office gynaecology. Boston Medical Center publishes nothing about menopause, perimenopause or hormone therapy for her, and her profile carries no specialties list at all, while a colleague at the same Harrison Avenue office does list menopause. Her menopause certification from The Menopause Society is current, but her employer's site gives no sign that she offers menopause care. She trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at Marshall University in West Virginia after earning her osteopathic degree in Tennessee.
