Highland Hills Aesthetics is a two provider medical aesthetics clinic in Baton Rouge that runs a hormone and metabolic program alongside its injectable and skin work. Hormone care starts with a one hour consultation covering medical history, current symptoms and weight history, and a full lab panel is drawn at that visit. Patients come back one to two weeks later for a visit where a provider goes through the results and writes the plan, then return every three to six months for monitoring and dose changes. The clinic prescribes hormone replacement and also inserts hormone pellets for women, which has to be booked over the phone because the consultation and labs have to come first. Lato spent eight years in family medicine working on metabolic health, hormone replacement, thyroid disorders, PCOS and weight management before she moved into aesthetic medicine in 2023, and she began her career in critical care nursing. Her co-owner Brittany Lipoma is a physician assistant who also does hormone replacement therapy, so a patient may see either of them.
