About Compassionate Gynecology of Michigan

Compassionate Gynecology of Michigan is a two-person office in Fenton and the whole medical staff is Dr Kling and one other person named Nicole. It sits inside a building whose door says Fenton Family Medicine, but the practice says it is not affiliated with any hospital or other medical practice. An initial perimenopause or menopause visit is booked for a full hour and the office does not double-book, so most of that time goes to explaining what the hormonal changes of midlife do and what the treatment options are. That is also why the wait is long, and the site says it is booking more than four months out and asks anyone with heavy bleeding or significant pain to see a provider who can get them in sooner. Dr Kling does not do surgery, obstetric care or IUD insertion, and she will not prescribe for someone she has never seen in the office. A lot of the site is given over to what the visit itself feels like, down to turning the scale around if a patient does not want to see her weight and stopping an exam the moment she asks.

The practice publishes a list of insurers it is credentialed with and says plainly that being credentialed does not mean it is in network with that company or with a patient's specific plan, so it asks patients to check their own plan and to obtain any PCP referral their plan requires before the visit.
