About Island Women's Health
Island Women's Health is a solo practice on Bainbridge Island built around perimenopause and menopause care. Martini is a certified nurse midwife and nurse practitioner who spent 14 years in obstetrics and gynecology before opening it, including midwifery work in Guatemala and care for Navajo and Zuni patients through the Indian Health Service in New Mexico. A new patient visit runs an hour and follow ups run thirty minutes, and either can happen in the office or remotely. Care is offered in English and Spanish, and a limited number of reduced-rate visits are set aside each month for patients who cannot manage the standard fee, with no explanation required. The practice currently books on Wednesdays and Sundays and plans to add in-person gynecology services such as smear tests and pelvic pain evaluation in 2027.

Labs, prescriptions and imaging are ordered out to outside laboratories, a radiology group and the patient's own pharmacy and billed to the patient's insurance, so coverage for those depends on the plan. Medicare patients cannot be seen at present, which the practice says it expects to change in January 2027.
Verified October 2026.
