Dusty Swendson is a board certified internal medicine physician at COMCARE Ohio, a primary care clinic that is part of Salina Regional Health Center. COMCARE calls itself one of the larger family practice clinics in the region and says it has twenty physicians across its Salina offices. Her page on the clinic site lists her training and her board certification and nothing else, and no provider at COMCARE gets a clinical interests or services section. Nothing COMCARE or the health system publishes names menopause care or hormone therapy for her or for any of her colleagues. New patients start with an online registration form on the health system site, and the clinic is listed as offering video visits under a service it calls vCare. She trained at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and did her undergraduate work in Salina at Kansas Wesleyan University.

Cindi Lockhart is a dietitian, so this is nutrition and lifestyle care rather than prescribing. She works mostly with women in perimenopause and menopause, and also takes on thyroid problems including Hashimoto's, weight that will not shift, and gut issues. Her main one to one option opens with a 90 minute visit, then functional lab testing and coaching sessions spread over six months, with messaging in between. She also runs a 12 week menopause group capped at ten women that brings in guest experts, including a hormone doctor who teaches what the evidence says about hormone therapy, though nobody in the practice prescribes it. Everything is done by video, and she says she works with clients across the country.

Dr. Wilson runs HerCare, a clinic for women only inside Amarillo Medical Specialists. She sees women 18 and up for primary care and pays particular attention to menopause management, bone health and family planning. She spent seven years directing a women's health and sex and gender differences center at Texas Tech and still teaches medical students about menopause. Visits lean on explaining the evidence behind each treatment option, and patients often leave with low-cost health habits as homework. New patients fill out an online pre-registration form, and staff then call to book a visit at the Westgate Parkway office. Neither her clinic site nor her group profile names a specific treatment she prescribes or performs.

Dr. Swanson is a family physician who runs a small membership menopause practice in Lafayette, and you see her at every visit. Care starts with a 90-minute first visit in the office or by video, then follow-ups every few months while hormones are adjusted. She starts with FDA-approved bioidentical hormones and turns to a compounding pharmacy only when the cost, dose or form doesn't suit. She prescribes testosterone and works with oncologists to offer hormone therapy to women who have had breast or ovarian cancer. Medical questions are handled at visits rather than by email. Dr. Robinson works at a Beth Israel Lahey Health primary care office in Waltham that takes patients of all ages. She leads the practice's menopause group visits, a monthly evening session you can attend in Waltham or join online instead. The sessions go through what the evidence says about menopause and cover both hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options, plus nutrition and exercise. You sign up for one by contacting the practice nurse rather than booking online. Because this is a general primary care office, she also looks after the rest of a patient's health, including long-term conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.

Clinical nurse specialist · APRN-AGCNS, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Missoula, MT · In person & virtual
  • Self-pay · first visit $310

Ingrid Hazlett co-owns Rise Women's Health Collaborative in downtown Missoula with a physician associate, and the clinic sees women only for perimenopause and menopause care. She has spent more than a decade working with hormonal and metabolic conditions and is board certified in diabetes management, so weight and insulin resistance get real attention alongside hormones. Care starts with an hour-long first visit, then shorter follow-ups and portal messaging, in person or by telehealth for patients located in Montana. The clinic prefers FDA-approved treatments, uses compounded medications only when indicated, and will not prescribe pellets. It does not provide gynecology or primary care, so patients keep their own doctor for annual visits. Women who want to understand their options first can book an education-only visit with no prescribing.

Alvarez and Vinueza is a two doctor OBGYN office in south Miami that covers pregnancy care, annual well woman visits and gynecologic surgery, with menopause handled as part of general gynecology rather than a separate program. The doctors use both hormone replacement and non hormonal medication depending on the patient, and they work on hot flashes, vaginal dryness and lower sex drive. They arrange bone density and mammogram screening when it is needed, and they also evaluate pelvic pain. Some gynecologic surgery is done in their own office instead of a hospital, which they say means quicker recovery and less cost to the patient. Dr. Vinueza has practiced in Miami since 2003, sees patients in English and Spanish, and says the small size of the office is what lets him avoid rushing a visit. New patients fill in an appointment request online and a staff member calls back to confirm a time.

Beth Servaites runs a small solo menopause practice on the Palos Verdes Peninsula for women in perimenopause and menopause. She spent years as a nurse in emergency departments and ICUs, and says watching women's symptoms get brushed off there is what led her to menopause care. New patients start with a detailed intake covering history, symptoms, medications and labs, followed by regular follow-up visits. She prescribes estrogen and progesterone, adds testosterone where it fits, and walks through both bioidentical and conventional options. Her style centers on explaining the research, including its limits, and leaving the final choice to the patient.

Her office is an Ascension Seton women's health clinic on West 34th Street in Austin that was an independent group called Women Partners in Health before it joined Ascension. The group dates to 1985 and now has more than a dozen clinicians including midwives and nurse practitioners, so obstetrics and delivery are a large part of what it does. The clinic's own services page says a Menopause Society certified practitioner is on the care team, and she is one of two at that office. Her bio puts nutrition next to menopause care in what she focuses on, and she holds a master's degree in nutrition along with a certificate in plant based nutrition. • Fenton, MI · In person only
  • Takes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield +13

Compassionate Gynecology of Michigan is a two-person office in Fenton and the whole medical staff is Dr Kling and one other person named Nicole. It sits inside a building whose door says Fenton Family Medicine, but the practice says it is not affiliated with any hospital or other medical practice. An initial perimenopause or menopause visit is booked for a full hour and the office does not double-book, so most of that time goes to explaining what the hormonal changes of midlife do and what the treatment options are. That is also why the wait is long, and the site says it is booking more than four months out and asks anyone with heavy bleeding or significant pain to see a provider who can get them in sooner. Dr Kling does not do surgery, obstetric care or IUD insertion, and she will not prescribe for someone she has never seen in the office. A lot of the site is given over to what the visit itself feels like, down to turning the scale around if a patient does not want to see her weight and stopping an exam the moment she asks.

She is a member of The Menopause Society and books 45 to 60 minute hormone consultations so there is time to go through a patient's questions. Hormone care is guided by symptoms as much as by blood or saliva levels, and the clinic also treats low testosterone in women with injections, gels or creams, and subdermal pellets. It is a membership clinic rather than one that bills insurance, and members get a yearly physical, a monthly B12 injection and lab draws in the office. Dr. Freeman is an osteopathic physician who does hands on manipulation, still makes house calls, and recommends a full body treatment four times a year. Slivkoff directs the practice's GetSlimly weight program, where she prescribes FDA approved GLP-1 medications and tracks muscle loss with body composition testing rather than handing out what the site calls skinny shots. She came to the practice from labor and delivery nursing, trained in the Harbor-UCLA women's health nurse practitioner program, and she is a Level 1 CrossFit coach who sees fitness and nutrition as the foundation of prevention. Hormone Health and Fibromyalgia Specialists of Alabama opened in Huntsville in 2025 after its founder went through her own perimenopause and fibromyalgia and could not get help across four separate specialties. Jana Jackson treats both women and men for hormone change, and the practice argues that perimenopause can start in the mid thirties and that a normal lab result is not a reason to turn someone away. Her hormone work uses commercially available products from a local pharmacy rather than compounded formulas, and she adds testosterone for women as a matter of routine rather than treating with estrogen alone. The clinic also runs supervised medical weight loss with semaglutide and tirzepatide and often pairs that with hormone therapy. Jackson is a PhD candidate researching the root cause of fibromyalgia, with early findings pointing toward a neuro-endocrine withdrawal mechanism.
